Can my child play for any team in BBFL?
BBFL franchises are assigned specific boundary areas based on home address and school district zones. Eligibility is determined by these boundaries, so please contact the team directly to confirm if your child qualifies to play for that franchise. You can also review the league by-laws for additional boundary information.
What are the age groups for football and cheer?
Football is available for children ages 7–12, with an age cutoff date of October 1st. Some franchises may allow 6-year-olds to participate. Players who turn 13 before October 1st are not eligible to play.
A Team: 11-12
B Team: 9-10
C Team: 7-8
Are there practices and games during the week?
Practice is usually 2-3 times during the week. Games are on Saturdays.
What if my child has never played football before?
No worries! Bayou Bantam is perfect for beginners. We embrace all skill levels and have coaching focused on teaching the fundamentals and building confidence!
Is there a cost to attend games?
There is a $5.00 entry fee for all games. Children 4 and under will get in free. Concessions will also be sold.
